Apart from her magnificent comedic timing and her perfectly judged draughtsmanship honed over time, Sarah's grin-inducing appeal lies in the keen recognition factor with which we greet each and every page, whether it's personal neuroses, cats, dogs, personal neuroses, first dates, the internet, personal neuroses, the daily grind, guilt, ghosts or Beelzebub.

Well, I do. I can't speak for you. Take a look.

They're all available to gawp at online so I feel zero guilt pangs photographing a few of 'em for you here.

What astonished me during the two and a half years during which I taught comics is how many EARLY teens and PRE-teens totally GET Sarah Andersen enough to want copies of their own.

There are 5 five FIVE Sarah Scribbles books, and in 3 of 'em Andersen furnishes the final two dozen or so pages with ever such thoughtful essays on her craft, its evolution, her career and the context. This one comes with a lot of retrospective self-analysis and reconsideration which I found fascinating.
